Carpeting: Rabbit carpeting is color coordinated for all interiors. A quality, cut-pile, 12 oz. grade is standard on all models, in gray, russet, tan or blue. In optional "LS" interior, an 18-oz. grade is included in these same coordinated colors.

Instrument Panel and Interior Trim Panels are color coordinated with the interior color scheme in gray, russet, tan or blue. Steering wheel/column, inner door panels, and inside trim panels are likewise color matched.

A. The space efficiency advantage of front wheel drive is gained by combining the engine, transmission and final drive in a single assembly. Double constant-velocity joints in each drive shaft provide an even transfer of power to the wheels.

B. The Rabbit in its basic form is available as a two-door sedan. Midnight Blue interior is standard with Cashmere White (shown) or Lago Blue. Russet is standard with Royal Red.

C. Volkswagen engineers have incorporated front wheel disk brakes providing excellent stopping power. Their fist-type design features larger pistons requiring less pedal pressure.
